Canada's heavy focus on party politics is proving to be less and less efficient in it's ability to govern. Party leaders are eager to call out their political opponents, while simultaneously being much less willing to work together. Politicians are looking to further their own fanfare with YouTube-worthy gotcha-clips, rather than actually use time in the House of Commons to be productive in furthering Canadian policy.
Furthermore, the integrity of Canada's political parties have been compromised. Through the past few years, both the Conservative Party of Canada and the Liberal Party of Canada have had allegations of foreign interference. As an Independent candidate, we are not compelled to follow the melodrama of the Canadian Political Party landscape. We do not need to listen to a party leader, whom might have compromised values with foreign interference. The only responsibility we have as an Independent is to represent you.
The world is an increasingly uncertain and scary place. With all the speculation surrounding foreign interference, voting an Independent from your community into the House of Commons enables you to help to ensure that your community's values and needs are represented within Canadian Government.
